We explored the vineyards of Mendoza, Argentina! There I learned all about the Catena family, their amazing vineyards, and winemaking, all while enjoying a fabulous 5-course meal prepared by Foxcroft Wine Company’s talented culinary team.
Each food course was paired with wines from one of the best wine producers in Argentina, Catena Wines.
The dinner service started out with a house-made empanada with crab paired with two different Chardonnays. Then we moved tonpotato gnocchi with chorizo paired with Malbecs. Next was the braised oxtail over hominy, pork belly and fennel paired with Cabernet Sauvingon and Cabernet Franc. Followed by the beef asado with tomato, shallot and chimichurri and paired with Catena Zapata ‘Nicolas’.
Lastly the event ended on a sweet note, with Foxcroft Wine’s signature donut covered in Salted Caramel Sauce.
