Dogwood: A Southern Table & Bar

Step right up to the Chef’s Counter at Dogwood and experience food on a whole new level!

Dogwood is offering a super special service where head Chef Jonny prepares you a three course tasting experience while you sit at the counter and watch him work his food magic!

We started out with an Octopus confit with chimichurri sauce on a baguette. The octopus had a smoky flavor that made it taste just like a fresh piece of bacon and the sauce complimented it perfectly with a sweet & sour flavor.

Next was Beefsteak tomatoes with lemon mayo and fresh chives on toasted sourdough bread. The flavor was so light and refreshing that it just melts in your mouth.

Then was my favorite part – marinated Pork Belly over a watermelon molasses with pickled watermelon rind topped with micro greens. The flavor combination of the Pork Belly and watermelon molasses WAS INCREDIBLE.

Last was a perfectly cooked Snapper that may have been the best fish I’ve ever eaten.

You can also add an additional beverage pairing, and with Eli making your drinks, we HIGHLY suggest it! He is also magical with the flavors and combinations he mixes up. We got cocktail and wine pairings – enjoyed both tremendously.

The best part is that there is no set menu so Chef Jonny whips up a meal that is pretty customized to you depending on food preferences or any possible restrictions and seasonality of ingredients. Their ingredients are fresh and local too!
