Announcing The Lost Years Summer Blockbuster Series!
For 47 years, The Carolina Theatre sat vacant on Tryon Street. But Hollywood never slept. The years were just lost to them. So they’re bringing these “lost years” back to Charlotte this summer.
Beginning on June 8 with the final movie they showed in 1978 before we closed our doors, Bruce Lee’s “Fist of Fury,” we’ll reclaim our “lost years” for 13 weeks this summer. After “Fist of Fury,” we’ll present a blockbuster movie from the subsequent year that never had the opportunity to grace the screen of our abandoned theatre, spanning 1979-1990.
